When a convenience store, proves that it's truly convenient for people.
Hello Friday!
It's Friday today and I am so excited since tomorrow is the start of the weekend so it means I will have my rest day; no work. I can't wait to spend the rest of my weekend at home or even in a comforting place.
Since it's Friday, it means, it's Market Friday! Just last week, I have seen people sharing their Market Friday posts and thought of joining the event this week. And here I am, excited as I am about to share with you one of my favorite convenience stores around my hometown.
By the way, I find excitement so much with this #MarketFriday challenge initiated by @dswigle as we will be able to witness different markets from all over the globe.
Let me take you to Riley's
Anyway, earlier, I timed out at work late since I finished my report. After my work, my other workmates decided to chill at the nearest convenience store in our place; Riley's.
Riley's is a convenience store/food store located at Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon beside the gasoline station. What I love about this store is that it not only offers the usual goods we see in other convenience stores, they also offer meals and there is a lot to choose from.
This is what the store looks like from the inside:
Even though they only have a few goods compared to other stores, they offer essential goods which is a good thing.
There is also a tagline around the store which makes it more pleasing to the eyes.
They are also offering bread and pastries as well as ice cream, coffee, milk, and even shakes.
As we stayed in the convenience store, it was around 7 in the evening, so we decided to order food for dinner. What we love about the place is that they offer budget-friendly and tasty food. We can't help but love them so much. So we only ordered only a few foods, just right for our tummies.
First on the list is this Korean Spicy Chicken. It costs Php 150.00 per plate or $3. This one's so tasty.
Next on the list is the Pork Sisig. Pork Sisig is a Filipino dish that contains pig parts. This cost Php 150 per serving or $3 as well.
Next is the Beef Halang-Halang. It's a spicy soup that tastes so good! It costs around Php 150 or $3 also.
And of course, the Asian's favorite, rice. We ordered a lot of cups of rice since we are six earlier. By the way, per cup of rice costs around Php 20 or $0.40.
After we eat our dinner, we bought Cookies n' Cream homemade ice cream from the store and I could say that it's a must-try! It costs Php 40 per serving or $0.80. Only three of us bought ice cream by the way since my other workmates are not fond of sweets.
For the food alone including the ice cream, all-in-a we have spent around Php 1000 or $20. More or less we have spent around Php 170 each or $3.40. We have saved a lot compared to going to the fine dining.
Furthermore, before we went home, I bought some goods that I brought home. Here are the goods that I bought:
Total Cost:
Canned Goods:
- Beef Loaf (Php 25 x 3 = Php 75 or $1.5)
- Corned Beef (Php 35 x 2 = Php 70 or $1.4)
Noodles:
- Canton (Php 12 x 3 = Php 36 or $0.72)
- Quickchow (Php 10 or $0.20)
- Nissin Ramen (Php 21 x 2 = Php 42 or $0.84)
Total= Php 233 or $4.66
So that's it for my Market Friday! I hope you enjoyed the mini-tour towards the convenience store in my hometown as well as the food that they offered and the total costs of what I bought. Till next Friday!
