You're my honey bunch, sugar plum, pumpy-umpy-umpkin!!!

It's time for #MarketFriday with my sweet friend @dswigle- and I have such a fun post planned for today! hehehe I happen to LOVE pumpkins! They are so cute and they are perfect to represent fall, and they taste delicious in pie! hehehe So - we are going to take a little tour of pumpkins from different markets all over! We're starting with these giant ones on the east coast of the US! You can see my husband and daughter posed here with them! hehe

And now you can see the artist is at work, trying to carve a special pattern into the pumpkin! hehe Look at how intense she is!

Heheh! She couldn't be satisfied with carving a spooky face - our little artist had to carve a rose!

And here is a closeup of it - It's really hard to get that detail, but she did a great job! hehehe

And here is a thankful tree with a bunch of lovely little pumpkins surrounding the trunk of the tree! hehehe I think I was considering if I really wanted to get this - but... nope, I didn't jump at this one! hehe

Isnt this gorgeous? I believe that we were over at Universal Studios, Hollywood when we got this picture! It's an entire pumpkin "tree" hehehe I would love one of these for Thanksgiving decorations - but can you imagine needing to store it and buy all the pumpkins each year?? LOL

I don't know about you - but this guy doesn't seem like he's worried about any mining area ! He looks like he's guarding all the pumpkins! hahaha

And down at the little farmer's market at the bottom of my mountain, they have some earrings that are created by local people - and here we have a whole BUNCH of pumpkins! hehee

At the Underground Gardens in Fresno ( so definitely on the west coast now!) - they had lovely little pumpkins adorning the trees planted there! hehehe I love how they have those knobbly little growths on them - they look like textured pumpkins!

And they certainly don't have to only come in orange! Pumpkins come in a variety of colors and patterns! Stripes too! hehehe

And plain? Sure! A lovely light shade of green! I've always wondered if the flavor of these pumpkins vary greatly??? I have seen a pumpkin pie made by one of them and truth be told, it didn't look very appetizing! hahaha There is something very appropriate for pumpkin pie to be orange! hehehe

Now we are back to orange, but the shape is more oblong than.... well, than pumpkin shaped! hehehe And I love the golden strips on it too! heheh Isn't it amazing to see how many different kinds there are???

Now, I love real pumpkins but how can you pass up taking a shot of this cute little fabric pumpkin! I was over near Pismo Beach and thrift-shopping with a bunch of my friends - and you wouldn't believe how many pumpkins we found! hehehe Well - you're about to get a glimpse!

Bedazzled pumpkins?!?! hehehe sure why not! And if you're gonna have jeweled little gourds - why not throw in a pink - and an argyle one too! hehehe

Ceramic, and candle holders, and wax versions, and even flocked velvety ones! hehehe They had a veritable pumpkinpedia of sorts here! hahahaha I loved them all, but I didn't dare to buy them all! Where in the world would I store them year long? LOL

And this one might just be my favorite - well at least of the fabric ones! It's hard to choose - but @bluefinstudios doesn't this remind you of your mom's special coffee mug? hehehe I think so! Maybe that's why I think it stands out among the rest - and is why I had to save the best for last! hehehe

Can you tell that I love the pumpkin?? hehehe They just represent a wonderful time of year when the leaves are changing colors beautifully, the air is crisp, you can smell apple pie and mulled cider in the air - and you know that the holiday season is really about ti kick off with lots of family around and good food!

I love it -I hope you love it - and I really hope you enjoyed my Market Friday: Pumpy-umpy-umpkin edition! hehehe
