Market Friday in Hua Hin, Thailand- Join me on a market adventure as I take a break from Volunteering with amazing Animals

Hello everyone out there, today, I hope that you're doing well and staying safe and happy as you discover new markets and adventure through your own tried and trusty locals markets for #MarketFriday which is a great initiative created by the wonderful and amazingly supportive @dswigle so we can all discover new and fresh market ideas from around the world.

So We're still in lockdown for the (I think) 7 or 8th Friday in a row and my local market has been closed since then and unfortunately, the trip there to see my friends was only a bi monthly jaunt as my work roster always coincided with the opening hours of the market and now ironically I have all the time in the world to go there (cause my shop is shut and we are all unemployed due to the lockdown...), it is shut too...

So I was going through my old photos of my favourite country of Thailand and found these of one of my favourite places on earth- Hua Hin.

I was lucky enough to visit there a couple of times during my last trip to Thailand back in 2014 and both times found the colourful and vibrant Hua Hin Night Market and the Chatsila Night Markets which runs through a narrow strip between Petchakasem Road and Liap Thang Rotfai, the railway station road.

Both of thee Markets are always bustling with tourists and locals alike, which certainly makes it an adventure definitely worth seeing (and going back to...) What a site to behold it is.

So much to see and do, haggle and buy, but never enough time or money...

And what I wouldn't do for a Thai Massage (or any massage) right now...

So one day I'll go back and hopefully be able to move to Thailand to keep volunteering in Animals sanctuaries over there like WFFT: Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand up in the stunning mountains from Cha Am Since its inception, the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre has given shelter to 1000’s of wild animals. Many of these animals are rehabilitated and released back to the wild. Those that cannot be released are provided with shelter for the rest of their lives.

The Wildlife Rescue Centre is the perfect place for volunteering with animals. We require a team of dedicated volunteers throughout the year. With us, you will have the amazing opportunity to volunteer in Thailand, working with animals and helping us to care for a wide variety of rescued wildlife. The center always needs help from animal lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, whether in the form of volunteer work, donations or professional help such as veterinary experience https://www.wfft.org/

Or Soi Dogs Soi Dog Foundation (Soi Dog) was established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, to help the street dogs and cats who had no-one else to care for them.

Soi Dog was created to provide a humane and sustainable solution to managing the stray population and to address their medical needs. Funding then, as it does now, came entirely from individuals who shared, and continue to share, the vision of our founders.

Our work with street animals consists of spaying and neutering to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens being born into short lives of suffering, along with the rescue, vaccination, medical treatment, sheltering, and adoption of those that cannot be returned to their territory..

Or the Gibbon Rehabilitation program...https://www.gibbonproject.org/product/donate-to-help-us-save-gibbons/ Our mission is to help those illegally captive gibbons to have their freedoms once again.

Gibbon reintroduction today still remains a relatively new division of conservation movement as well as uncharted terrain for researchers around the globe. At GRP, we have been testing numerous methods of gibbon reintroduction for the last 27 years. Every reintroduction is a learning opportunity as every gibbons came with different cruel backgrounds.

Anyway, I really hope that one day you too can get to Hua Hiin to checkout these fantastic markets and better yet, do yourself a massive favour and have an experience that will be the most extraordinary and memorable adventure of your entire life time and volunteer in one of the amazing organisations to help those that need it the most.
