Disappearing Message Feature is not for you

Greetings People!

I don't know if the message disappearing feature is in apps like Discord, Telegram or Facebook, but for whatsapp, yes I know for sure, it's there.

Incase you don't know what message disappearing function is all about,
It clears old messages depending on your setting range, say 24hrs, two days, three days, one week and so on. It saves you time of going back to clear old chat log to ease off space in your phone...to most of us that have phones that are always crying for low storage.

More also, it's typically a secretive feature because...you should know🕵️

Yes, it's a good feature, no doubt about that but the way people are using is so so so off.

My experience;

Sometimes ago, I wanted to do a flex printing, so I trekked down to a nearby cafe, I got there, met the manager and told him what I'm doing. He checked and charged me exorbitantly. It was too much for me, so I told him I'd give him feedback when I'm done checking my account balance to see if I can pay for such.
We exchanged numbers and when I got home, I messaged him on whatsapp, send the already designed graphics to him and told him I'd send the payment in a few days time. He agreed and we went off that day.

After three days, I decided to message him to pay up so he would proceed with the work and guess what? Take a look at how our chat ensued;

Me: Sir, I want to pay for the work

Him: Okay, but first of all, who is this?

Me: Are you asking me this question?

Him: Sorry, the contact is saved as Kingsley but I don't know whom because I have a lot of contacts

I'd seen already that his disappearing message was set on 24hrs, so I decided to talk sense into him.

Me: How can a business man be using disappearing message function? It shows you're not serious with your job at all.

It took him time the to reply, I knew my word really entered deep into him

Him: Sorry bro, it's not like that....

Me: Sir, you've failed. I'm not doing again.

And I closed up the tab.

As a business person, why must you be using disappearing message?

Even if you're trying to form secretive, must it be on your customers? Mtchwww!
