Hi, this time I'm here to participate in @elpausero initiative, My #Rules4Voting Initiative. Since he started in Hive, Alejandro has been a bit controversial with his publications, motivated by his disagreement with how certain aspects are handled within the Hive.blog platform. In this initiative he asks us several questions to reflect, make us a little bit aware and have clear how is our behavior in Hive as curators at the same time as creators and so we can take actions to improve.
What do you value most in a publication?
As a curator I value very much that the content is original, no copying and pasting; that it adds value, teaches something, that shows the skills that the person possesses and not least that it is empathetic in its story. If the person takes the time to present a publication without spelling errors, well laid out, justified (although this does not limit my vote), that publication will surely be voted for by me.
How do you decide what percentage of your voting power to use for each post? Do you vote for everyone equally? Do you have trouble giving 100% votes? Why?
Because my vote is so small, I always vote 100%, to give a contribution even if it's minimal; the posts that I like the most, I comment and reblog them to give more visibility to the creator. I have some self votes to people who create good content, likewise I always pass to read and leave my comment, to encourage this person to continue creating content and thus grow the community. When my vote grows I will apply different percentages according to the quality of the publications.
Do you understand that if you give more votes at 100% (to the right people) you help Hive to have more healers and to be a much freer and representative? Please elaborate on your answer.
I do understand; although for now my vote represents very little monetary incentive, I am very clear that if we give 100% votes to the right people we will all grow together as a community, our voting power will be greater and soon we will form a bank of fish that will not depend on any whale because many votes with something of value can generate more money than a single heavy vote. All this will have a snowball effect because then people will focus on making better content and healing quality content, while attracting better creators.
How did you feel the first time one of your posts was rated? Did the vote on your post make you improve the quality and motivate you? Or did you start posting more similar things to keep getting voted on? When you prepare your posts do you think about a specific curator?
As a creator I come from steemit, where my presentation got $0.46 and the other posts didn't have the desired reception, seeing that it was very difficult to be voted at that moment I got discouraged and left the platform. In April I started Hive.blog, I decided to write and my first post reached $40, this surprised me a lot and encouraged me to continue writing. I won't deny that at the beginning I was looking for the hours when I voted for a certain curator, but I don't do that anymore. Now I just focus on writing about what I like and helping others with my publications; even though sometimes I am not valued monetarily I still have the satisfaction that my posts can help others improve.
Do you understand that the flow of money on HiveBlog can condition the behavior of the community? Please, develop your answer.
Yes, as long as posts that have plagiarism, errors or are only 2 lines without meaning receive more heavy votes and better profitability, people will imitate this kind of behavior looking for rewards. If, on the contrary, we begin to read in detail what we vote on and value the time people take to present a publication, we will create awareness and the content will improve 100%, without leaving room for people who only want to bleed the platform without even putting a minimum of effort.
I recommend exploring several communities, see new topics and not only in trend, you will surely discover very good creators and pleasant publications, always leave comments that contribute or encourage people to continue writing about the things you like and we will know the ways of thinking and doing things in other parts of the world. Hola, en esta oportunidad vengo a participar en la iniciativa de @elpausero, My #Rules4Voting Initiative. Desde que inició en Hive Alejandro ha sido un poco controversial con sus publicaciones, motivado a que no está de acuerdo en cómo se manejan ciertos aspectos dentro de la plataforma Hive.blog. En esta iniciativa nos hace varias preguntas para reflexionar, hacer que tomemos un poco de conciencia y tengamos claro cómo es nuestro comportamiento en Hive como curadores al mismo tiempo como creadores y así podamos tomar acciones en pro de mejorar.
¿Qué es lo que más valoras en una publicación?
Como curadora valoro mucho que el contenido sea original, nada de copiar y pegar; que aporte valor, enseñe algo, que demuestre las habilidades que posee la persona y no menos importante que sea empático en su relato. Si la persona se toma el tiempo para presentar una publicación sin errores ortográficos, bien maquetado, justificado (aunque esto no limita mi voto), con seguridad esa publicación será votada por mi.
¿Cómo decides qué porcentaje de tu poder de voto usar para cada post? ¿Votas a todos por igual? ¿Tienes problemas para dar votos al 100%? ¿Por qué?
Al ser mi voto tan pequeño voto siempre al 100%, para dar un aporte aunque sea mínimo; las publicaciones que más me gustan, las comento y reblogueo para dar más visibilidad al creador. Tengo algunos autovotos a personas que crean buen contenido, de igual manera siempre paso a leer y dejar mi comentario, para animar a esta persona a seguir creando contenido y así hacer crecer la comunidad. Cuando mi voto crezca si aplicaré distintos porcentajes de acuerdo a la calidad de las publicaciones.
¿Entiendes que si das mas votos al 100% (a las personas correctas) ayudas a que Hive cuente con más curadores y sea una plataforma mucho más libre y representativa? Por favor, desarrolla tu respuesta.
Sí lo entiendo; aunque por ahora mi voto representa muy poco incentivo monetario, tengo muy claro que si damos votos al 100% a las personas correctas todos vamos a ir creciendo juntos como comunidad, nuestro poder de voto será mayor y dentro de poco formaremos banco de peces (cardumen), que no va a depender de ninguna ballena porque muchos votos con algo de valor pueden generar más dinero que un solo voto pesado. Todo esto tendrá un efecto de bola de nieve porque entonces las personas se enfocarán en hacer mejor contenido y curar contenido de calidad, atrayendo al mismo tiempo mejores creadores.
¿Cómo te sentiste la primera vez que uno de tus post fue valorado? ¿El voto en tu publicación te hizo mejorar la calidad y motivarte? ¿O empezaste a postear más cosas similares para seguir siendo votado? ¿Cuando preparas tus publicaciones piensas en un curador en específico?
Como creadora vengo de steemit, donde mi presentación obtuvo 0.46 $ y los demás post no tuvieron la recepción deseada, al ver que era muy difícil ser votada en aquel momento me desanimé y abandoné la plataforma. En el mes de Abril inicié en Hive.blog, me decidí a escribir y mi primera publicación llegó a 40$, estó me sorprendió muchísimo y me animó a seguir escribiendo. No voy a negar que al principio buscaba las horas en que votaba cierto curador, pero ya no lo hago. Ahora solo me enfoco en escribir sobre lo que me gusta y ayudar a otros con mis publicaciones; a pesar que en ocasiones no sea valorada monetariamente me queda la satisfacción de que mis post le pueden servir a los demás para mejorar.

Sí, mientras las publicaciones que tengan plagio, errores o que solo sean 2 líneas sin sentido reciban más votos pesados y mejor rentabilidad, las personas imitaran este tipo de comportamiento buscando recompensas. Sí por el contrario comenzamos a leer detalladamente lo que votamos y valoramos el tiempo que las personas se toman para presentar una publicación crearemos conciencia y el contenido mejorará 100%, sin dejar cabida a personas que solo quieren desangrar la plataforma sin siquiera poner un mínimo de esfuerzo.
Recomiendo explorar varias comunidades, ver temas nuevos y no solo en tendencia, seguro descubrirás muy buenos creadores y gratas publicaciones, siempre dejar comentarios que aporten o animen a las personas a seguir escribiendo sobre las cosas que le gustan y nosotros conoceremos las maneras de pensar y hacer las cosas en otros lugares del mundo. Si todos trabajamos juntos podemos hacer de Hive.blog la mejor de las redes sociales.
