Today I walked out onto the back deck and saw this injured Carpenter Bee. One of it's wings were broken. Recently, birds and wasps have been destroying the Carpenter Bee nests that are in the side of my house. This guy may have been a victim of an attack. He was chillin' on the railing, doing his best to recuperate. This fall I will do my best to caulk and stain the side of my house to keep the bees from nesting next year.
