We are pleased to announce that the next feature to be added to Rising Star will go live next week!
Record Signing
This special mission is yet another twist on the way you play.
This is how it will work:
- When you go to run the mission a random Fan Club card will be displayed (e.g. "FC10" in the image above) and if you have completed that level of the "Promote Fan Club" mission AND you own the corresponding card then you will receive one of four new fan cards at the end of the mission.

The card will drop randomly and the odds are the same as a common, rare, epic and legendary card that you would get in a pack (although rare is 10% but more in a pack as you are always guaranteed one).
If you have not completed the level required or you do not own the card then the FC card will be displayed in red and you have a choice:
- You can run the mission anyway to change to a new random requirement (but you will not get an "FA" card)
- You can wait until you have completed the required "Promote Fan Club" mission / purchased the card (if you sold it previously) and then you will get the reward.
But There's More - New Weekly Card!
We will also be adding a new card and required number of missions to "Promote Fan Club" WEEKLY!
Example
So let's say right now you have completed 700 Promote Fan Club missions and you have kept all the cards. This means you will always get an "FA" card when you run the "Record Signing" mission. However when a new card is added you will need to complete some more "Promote Fan Club" missions if you want a 100% chance to get an "FA" card.
However this would mean that as time goes on anyone who has not started on "Promote Fan Club" would be at a disadvantage so there will be thresholds for running the "Record Signing" mission in relation to the maximum number of "Promote Fan Club" missions.
OK you probably had to read that three times and still don't understand what it meant so let's try an example:
For the first 25 "Record Signing" missions (25 is an example, we haven't finalised this number yet) the maximum "Promote Fan Club" level that will be used to determine whether you get a reward or not will be 28 (the current maximum).
Once you exceed 25 the maximum will be 29 (if the next weekly card has been added).
Then each week another card will be added and you can do another 25 before the maximum moves up.
Record NFT Promotion
Rising Star is all about independent music and you will know that musicians can mint their NFTS in the game. These NFTs allow you to not only support the musician but they also count towards your "Unique Cards" count used in the player rankings.
Now we want to make those musicians more visible to players so you will see a new popup with lots of details of one of the artists and their NFT (which you will be able to preview by clicking the play button).
The artist and NFT will be chosen at random from one of the last 10 NFTs that have been minted.
Conclusion
I hope you will agree that this adds another exciting element to the game where even a player who has only completed 2 "Promote Fan Club" missions has a small chance to get some high value cards if they are willing to put the time in (but will not be earning STARBITS while doing so).
Players at all levels will have more decisions to make in the game and we really look forward to seeing what strategies you decide to use!
