Do I think Tyrese Maxey or Isaiah Joe are better point guards? Absolutely not. No matter what Ben's flaws were, you cannot deny that the man was a freak athlete who is probably the best passer in the game. His passing and his defense will surely be missed, HOWEVER, you can't help but watch this game and see how much more fluid the offense looks. There is so much more room and Embiid has much more space to operate without another player on the floor whose offense relies on getting in the paint. Embiid has always been the star of the team, but now the offense can finally truly revolve around him instead of catering to Ben's needs.
I think Maxey getting the minutes he did throughout last season will help him mature faster this year. You can see he is still very young and has a ton of developing left to do, but I am really high on him as I think he could, at a minimum, be a solid PG for this team.
