April 17th, Celebration of World Circus Day

Hello Hivers!

This is my fist post for this wonderful #Photography Lovers community.

I'm not a skilled photograph, only a passionate simple guy, who loves to record some instants... To take some kind of magic from the present to the future! If you thing about it, it's like time travel, but the journey starts as you push the "button" and the future, well... know one can really tells when you are traveling again to that point, right? And on the Pandemic days, when you can't physically go to some places, you can revisited them in photos... And It was part of my Saturday's program!

Today, April 17th, we celebrate the World Circus Day.

When I was a kid, the circus wasn't for me a magical place... I recall some of the less magical parts of it... The use of animals (that didn't appear as "joyful" has all the arena that gathered for seeing and applaud all their incaptured /captive lives...), the intense smell of fritter in the outside...

But, luckily for the little ones, and for the live performers (artists, and animals), the circus changed a lot in the last 30 years!

The last time that I was on a Circus Show, was on the show named "Cortéo", on January 10th of 2020.

The show is presented by the famous and largest contemporary circus producer in the world, and Montreal-based (Canada) "Cirque du Soleil" (that don't use animals in their performances),

"Cortéo" it's an Italian word meaning "cortège" or procession.

This show it's about a clown who watches his own funeral taking place in a carnival-like atmosphere. It was partly inspired by The Grand Parade: Portrait of the Artist as Clown.

I leave you all my humble photos (token without flash, and with a simple smartphone). I tried to catch up the magic of the lights, the size proportions of actors, and the perpetual movement, that lit up everyone's face!
