With this post I want to talk about my entry into the 91st edition of the Photochain Challenge by @davidesimoncini .
I saw this contest as soon as I joined the Hive community and, loving photography, I immediately wanted to take part in it, but it's not always possible, so I waited patiently for the right combination of words to compete with... and finally here it is!
MIRROR and REFLECTION.
Let's leave aside the childish rhyme that comes out of it, but let's laugh it off in our minds with a smile, and let's get down to serious business: my photo.
Mirrors and reflections in photos are very interesting and sometimes nice things come out of them, see @Zoricatech's photo that won in the 90th edition, a photo that I very often take too, as a subject, while travelling, looking forward and backwards at the same time.
But for this competition I wanted to play a different card, or rather a different photo:
What you see in the picture is a part of the installation "Life Electric" by architect Daniel Libeskind, dedicated to Alessandro Volta, which can be admired in Lake Como. It is located a few dozen metres from the shore of the lake overlooking the city of Como, and can be reached by a walk along the Piero Caldirola breakwater.
I was lucky enough to see it on a beautiful sunny winter's day, it was New Year's Day 2020, and I was enchanted by these arms coming out of the fountain and full of mirrors, creating very beautiful and nice multiple reflection games.
Because of the amount of people present and the fact that it didn't fit entirely into the frame of my phone, I was forced to cut the photo at the top, but I must say that I didn't mind, trying to find an angle that would distort the overall impression of the structure!

Con questo post voglio parlarvi del mio accesso alla 91° edizione del Photochain Challenge di @davidesimoncini .
Ho visto questo contest appena fatto il mio ingresso nella comunità di Hive e, amando la fotografia, da subito ho desiderato parteciparvi, ma non sempre è possibile, per cui ho aspettato pazientemente che venisse fuori la giusta combo di parole con cui cimentarmi... e finalmente eccola qui!
SPECCHIO e RIFLESSO.
Tralasciamo la filastrocca da bimbi che ne viene fuori, ma ridiciamocela a mente con un sorriso, e passiamo alle cose serie: la mia foto.
Gli specchi e i riflessi nelle foto sono molto interessanti e a volte ne vengono fuori cose simpatiche, vedasi la foto di @Zoricatech che ha vinto nella 90 edizione, una foto che molto spesso faccio anch'io, come soggetto, mentre sono in viaggio, guardare avanti e indietro contemporaneamente.
Ma per questo concorso ho voluto giocarmi una carta diversa, o meglio una foto diversa:
Quella che vedete in foto è una parte dell'istallazione "Life Electric" dell'architetto Daniel Libeskind, dedicata ad Alessandro Volta che si può ammirare nel Lago di Como. E' situata a poche decine di metri dalla riva del lago che da proprio sulla città di Como, raggiungibile tramite una camminata lungo la diga foranea Piero Caldirola.
Ho avuto la fortuna di vederla in una bella giornata di sole invernale, era Capodanno del 2020, e rimasi ammaliata da questi bracci uscenti dalla fontana e pieni di specchi, creando giochi di riflessione anche multipli molto belli e simpatici.
Un po' la quantità di gente presente, un po' la questione che non entrava per intero nell'inquadratura del mio telefono, sono stata costretta a tagliare la foto in alto, ma devo dire che la cosa non mi è dispiaciuta, cercando un'angolazione tale da stravolgere quella che potesse essere l'impressione generale della struttura!
