Like many other words. Over time, the meaning of the word lazy has changed slightly. This alternative meaning of the word lazy would be something like. When asked, Why didn't you do the dishes? The reply is because "I'm lazy". This doesn't actually mean the person is lazy. It translates as Yea. I can't be bothered right now. But I know I need to do it.
