Peace and Quiet [Qurator's Photo Quest | Panorama]

Good morning... and happy Friday!

This is my entry for the Qurator's Photo Quest | Panorama, hosted by @qurator. The theme for this week is Panorama. 😊

I took this shot on a remote area very close to the border of Spain. The houses you see down on the valley are the last ones before reaching the River Minho, which separates Portugal and Spain. From where I stood until Spain it's only 2.39 km in a straight line, which means from here you can see Spain at the distance (yep, it's those mountains in the horizon.)

This is a perfect place for hermits, since you won't get many neighbours here. There's a house here and there, usually at least 1km apart from each other... or more. If you want to run away from society and bad neighbours, this is a wonderful spot to do it. Over here, you can be sure that no one will bother you. At all!

However, you'll also won't find any grocery stores around. You either plant and grow your own food... or you'll waste a lot of gas money to regularly drive to the nearest shop.
