No Sea? No Problem!

Good Tuesday, everyone!

Last time I went to Pontevedra, in Spain it was quite hot and sunny. The sea is not very far but it was still around 50km away... As such, the people living in these parts found another way to have some beach time much closer to home: they go to the river! 馃槑

The place is beautiful, with lots of trees and shaded areas, which is something you won't find by the sea. This way you can protect yourself from the burning sun a lot better. There's no reason for you to turn into a red lobster! 馃槀

As you can see the waters are really shallow here but deep enough to enjoy a good bath!

This means the kids can have some fun, too... and the parents can relax a lot more than if they were in a traditional beach, where they would have to stay totally focused on the children all the time because a simple mistake could lead to them drowning in a matter of seconds...

But in these shallow parts of the river that danger is pretty much inexistent. It's a different experience but definitely a lot safer!

Another advantage of a river beach is that you can see the fish swimming right next to you, which is really fun... at least for me! 馃

Have you ever been in a beach like this?

I hope you enjoyed these shots. See you later!
