Good morning, early bees!
Here is my entry for the Qurator's Photo Quest, hosted by @qurator. The theme for this week is Action Photography. 😊
I grabbed this cool shot at a Christmas Street Market that took place in Vila do Conde, last December.
These kids were having fun playing a medieval duelling game while their mom (or sister) watched them. It was a battle but a very healthy and funny one. They've kept laughing as they tried to outmatch each other. ðŸ¤
My camera wasn't ready but my phone was. I quickly took it out and grabbed a few shots. This is one of the shots I liked the most. But here are a few others... I hope you enjoy this little collection:
- "Ready or Not, Here I Come..."
Sometimes the fight was a bit intense... but every move ended with another laugh.
The kids had a lot of fun, even though they have totally ignored how the game is played.
You see that long piece of wood on the floor? The idea is for both opponents to balance themselves over it... and try to knock the other one out. The first to touch the ground loses a point. 😊
It's November already... and, in a normal year, the City Hall of Vila do Conde should have another market like this set up somewhere around the city. But with all the craziness and mass histeria due to the corona virus, I don't know how things are. I hadn't the opportunity to visit the city and find out. Yet.
