A Very Quiet and Lovely Park in Maia, Portugal

Good night, good people!

Here are some new photos for the #treetuesday initiative by @old-guy-photos. Or rather, old photos since they were captured around 10 years old, already. How quickly time flies! 🤭

I post so many photos from my travels that sometimes I forget to post some of my own country, too... so here it is, a few photos taken in a big public park near the city of Porto, Portugal.

This is a very quiet and lovely park, away from the bustling city centres... a place where young couples come to date, where parents bring their children on the weekends so that they enjoy a bit of fresh air and play outside in a safe environment... and where people in general come to relax and enjoy some time alone, to think about life, the universe and everything.

Despite being a very cool spot, you won't find any tourists here since there is no easy way for them to visit this park. Yes, there are a few buses that stop nearby but to get from the centre of Porto to one of those buses, you'll need a lot of patience and changing lines quite a few times.

What about the Metro, you ask? Forget it... unless you are ready to walk 40 minutes on the side of a dangerous road full of cars and big trucks. 😳

The best way to visit this spot, in case you ever come to Porto, is to rent a car and follow the GPS instructions. 😉

Once you're there, you can even have lunch at the park, since there's a small but nice restaurant right in the middle of it. I've been there a few times and the food was always good. 😋
