Because there are usually lots of extraordinary variations in the uniqueness of each mushroom. I found mushrooms growing on the rotting branches of a Mancang tree. However, this mushroom also looks dry and porous and is eaten by insects.
Maybe this fungus belongs to a fungal species from the Polyporaceae family and the poroid fungal family which is included in the Basidiomycota. Most members of this family have a hymen (fertile lining).
