Today I am pleased to present the second post from the series Beehives from Poland. It is an old uninhabited hive, most often beekeepers call it the Warsaw hive. This one is particularly interesting, very unique, because it was inhabited by two bee colonies. There is an inlet for bees on each side.

Originally, this hive was not opened from above. The frames with honey were extracted by opening the side wall. But another owner improved this hive for convenience, remade it so that the frame can be removed from the top, it makes the beekeeper's job easier because he can very quickly take out the frame he wants at random. Originally, with the side wall, you had to pull them out one by one. It was more time consuming, certainly made the bees more angry :)
Oryginalnie ten ul nie by艂 otwierany od g贸ry. Ramki z miodem wydobywa艂o si臋 otwieraj膮c boczn膮 艣ciank臋. Ale inny w艂a艣ciciel dla wygody ulepszy艂 ten ul, przerobi艂 go, 偶eby mo偶na by艂o od g贸ry wyjmowa膰 rami, u艂atwia to prac臋 pszczelarzowi, poniewa偶 bardzo szybko mo偶e losowo wyjmowa膰 ramk臋, t膮 kt贸r膮 chce. Oryginalnie, boczn膮 艣cian膮, trzeba by艂o wyci膮ga膰 je po kolei, jedna po drugiej. By艂o to bardziej czasoch艂onne, z pewno艣ci膮 bardziej z艂o艣ci艂o pszczo艂y :)
In this apiary I have come across many similar hives that have not been used for a long time. Most of them are unused and decaying. But you have to admit, the pictures look interesting.
W tym pasieczysku spotka艂em wiele podobnych uli, kt贸re od dawna nie s膮 u偶ytkowane. Wi臋kszo艣膰 z nich jest nieu偶ytkowana i niszczeje. Ale trzeba przyzna膰, na zdj臋ciach wygl膮daj膮 ciekawie.
