The Temple of Rishi Markanda is also in between the path of the river as the river flows from both side of the temple during mounsoon. The river got its name from the the saint(Sadhu) Called Rishi Markanda. The rishi is very important part of the hindu mythology history.
The river bed is full of nutrition as it gets all the most important aspects from the river. The river has journey towards the another State called Haryana. It exit the Himachal Pradesh border in kala Amb and enters state of Haryana.
