Hacienda La Trinidad dates from the 18th century and was declared by the State in 2005 as an Asset of Cultural Interest. Their activity was purely agricultural, there they planted sugar cane and coffee, a production that remained active until 1945. From that year on, the owners changed their field and began to plant tobacco, which is why they built seven dryers, which today they function as art stores, galleries, gastronomic and educational spaces.
La Hacienda La Trinidad data del siglo XVIII y fue declarada por el Estado en 2005 como Bien de Interés Cultural. Su actividad era netamente agrícola, allí se sembraba caña de azúcar y café, producción que se mantuvo activa hasta el año 1945. A partir de ese año los propietarios cambiaron de rubro y comenzaron a sembrar tabaco, por lo que construyeron siete secaderos, que hoy en día funcionan como tiendas de arte, galerías, espacios gastronómicos y educativos.
The area where the old mill was in ruins was sold in 1965 to the Dutch sculptor Cornelis Zitman, who built his house and workshop there, a property that still belongs to his family today, however as it is within the Hacienda La Trinidad Cultural Park you can visit its entrance that has some works by the artist.
La zona donde estaba el viejo trapiche en ruinas fue vendida en 1965 al escultor holandés Cornelis Zitman, quien construyó allí su casa y taller, propiedad que hoy en día sigue siendo de su familia, sin embargo como está dentro de la Hacienda La Trinidad Parque Cultural se puede visitar su entrada que tiene algunas obras del artista.
