Good evening Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I got here for you all tonight is some more shot's I captured at my local lake of the Osprey again, yes you guessed it with its daily catch of the day. There is a reason I go to the lake for an eight to ten hour shift in birding shot's. Its because of these Osprey, I typically get from two to four chance of Osprey getting its dive and it out of the water with the fish images when I do. It is for me the best practice to get the dive which is absolutely the hardest thing to do, the out is easier but still hard to get some really good shot's depending on where the bird dives. This time it was a bit closer for me so I can get some good images. Last Saturday for the firs time I actually got the dive, talons out not once, not twice but three times in and out of all three I only got one that was focused, the others I could not lock in the auto-focus, even though one was right in front of me, me not even zoomed in at all, so 100mm I still didn't lock that in and it by far would've been the best shot for me if I had been able to get it locked in. That's why I keep going out though, to get that practice in and hopefully one day that image I want. For the first shot I love this one, the water drip off its beak, just sets this image off for me, as well as the nictitating membrane that also covers the eye and acts as a contact lens in many aquatic birds when they are under water and usually after they come out you can see it is still closed. As for the second shot, it two has the nictitating membrane cover as well and it sure is a good shot too. I wasn't sure what one I wanted as the cover, they both are worthy shot's and normally I'd put them on two different post but I show more goodies in the same post too at times, like I always have. The third shot is a bit after the other two and this entire sequence I got a lot of good ones. I was definitely locked in on the auto focus to get them and I can tell I am getting better and better as the daily shooting go on.
