The magic of the river

Our rivers are not flooded every year. But this winter was snowy and long. As soon as the ice melted, the flood came. We look down from the bridge. Obviously, the water has risen by about three meters so far.

We want to see the shore and we descend from the bridge to the very edge of the water.

These huge trees can often be seen along the banks of local rivers. This tree is called silver poplar. It grows in the floodplains of rivers on moist soils, forming forests and groves. The tree tolerates flooding well, it is resistant to slight soil salinization. As a rule, abundant water does not harm them.

But it's not safe here.
Water floods the banks, undermines the roots of old poplars and they often fall into the water here.

But at other times of the year, you won't see this graphic of branches, trunk bends and reflections.

The space of water and trees, their reflections create an illusion and you seem to be going through some new quest.

The play of shadows captivates

And the branches seem to reach out to the water with their hands

And only coming out of the thickets to the water, all the magic disappears
