As good things must be shared today I wanted to share with you some pictures of my last visit to the beach, and is that living on an island I have the joy of enjoying it whenever I want.
El Tirano Beach is located in the Antolin del Campo Municipality of Nueva Esparta State and is one of the many beaches in this municipality.
Located specifically in the town that bears its name, it is a fishermen's beach, so when you visit it, depending on the time of day you go you can see them leaving or arriving from their work.
This beach is very close to our house, about six blocks away, so it is the one we visit most often. One of the things I enjoy the most is the proximity of the sea to the palm trees, so I can rest under them and enjoy watching my children play at the same time.
The name of this post comes from a conversation with a friend. He made a comment to me about an expression that those of us who live in Isla Margarita often use to refer to the rest of the states that make up our country. And that phrase is "tierra firme".
It turns out that he finds that expression very funny and although I have used it many times, the truth is that it also seems a little crazy to me, because it is not that the island moves from one side to another as to say that they are on the mainland and we are not. Because if they are on land, where are we supposed to be, floating?
Anyway, he jokingly told me "it must be the Island in the Sky" and I confess that I liked that phrase so much that I took it to present these images. Because if there is one word I could use to refer to this wonderful Island, it is the word Paradise.
We live in a little piece of heaven surrounded by sea, and Margarita is a beauty everywhere you look. A blue sky with so many shades that I am sure you will not find one like it anywhere else, palm trees swaying in the breeze, crystal clear waters and magical landscapes such as the imposing Guayamuri hill, that we can observe with all its majesty from this beach.
If living here is not living in heaven, it is too much like it, because I definitely don't think there is anything that transmits as much peace as sitting and contemplating the sea and letting yourself be enveloped by the sea breeze.
So yes, this little piece of blessed land is the Island in the Sky and the rest of the country lives on the mainland!
Como las cosas buenas hay que compartirlas hoy quise compartir con ustedes algunas imágenes de mi última visita a la playa, y es que al vivir en una Isla tengo la dicha de disfrutar de ella cada vez que lo desee.
Playa El Tirano, se encuentra ubicada en el Municipio Antolin del Campo del Estado Nueva Esparta y es una de las muchas playas con las que cuenta éste Municipio.
Ubicada específicamente en la población que lleva su nombre, es una playa de pescadores, por lo que al visitarla según la hora del día en que vayas puedes verlos salir o llegar de su faena.
Esta playa nos queda súper cerca de nuestra casa, a unas seis cuadras, por lo tanto es la que solemos visitar con mayor frecuencia. Una de las cosas que más disfruto es la cercanía del mar a las palmeras, por lo que puedo descansar bajo ellas y disfrutar al mismo tiempo de ver a mis niños jugar.
El nombre de ésta entrada surge a raíz de una conversación con un amigo. Él me hizo un comentario sobre una expresión que los que vivimos en Isla Margarita utilizamos con frecuencia para referirnos al resto de los estados que conforman nuestro país. Y esa frase es "tierra firme".
Resulta que a él le hace mucha gracia ésa expresión y aunque yo la he utilizado muchas veces, la verdad es que a mí también me parece un poco loca, porque no es que la Isla se mueva de un lado a otro como para decir que ellos están en tierra firme y nosotros no. Porque si están en tierra firme, ¿dónde se supone estamos nosotros, flotando?
En fin, que él en broma me dijo "será que es la Isla en el Cielo" y confieso que me gustó tanto esa frase que la tomé para presentar estas imágenes. Porque si hay una palabra que podría utilizar para referirme a esta maravillosa Isla, es la palabra Paraíso.
Vivimos en un pedacito de cielo rodeado de mar, y es que Margarita es una belleza por donde se la mire. Un cielo azul con tantos matices que estoy segura que no encontrarás uno igual en ningún otro lugar, palmeras que se mecen con la brisa, aguas cristalinas y mágicos paisajes como el imponente cerro Guayamuri que podemos observar con toda su majestuosidad desde ésta playa.
Si vivir aquí no es vivir en el cielo, se le parece demasiado, porque definitivamente no creo que haya nada que transmita tanta paz como sentarse a contemplar el mar y dejarse envolver por la brisa marina.
¡Así que sí, este pedacito de tierra bendita es la Isla en el Cielo y el resto del país vive en tierra firme!
