Greetings from the city of St.Petersburg, Russia. Today I share more pictures I took this Sunday, the post goes for #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay
All of the captures were taken by me. It was a little 60 min. outing, not even a decent photowalk. But of course I was equipped with a camera (was borrowing 150mm macro lens this time) and heaven sent me some cool stuff.

The start of the walk turned out great! This is the very first shot - coming out of our door, we were immediately greeted by our local backyard cat overseer (I've already photographed him a few times this year). He was going about his cat business, and was not in the mood for petting, but agreed to stop and pose just for a few seconds - he showed me how he sharpened his claws on the bark of a tree.

Это самый первый кадр - выйдя из наших дверей, мы сразу же были поприветствованы нашим местным дворовым котиком (я его уже фотографировал несколько раз в этом году). Котик шел по своим котовьим делам, у него не было настроения гладиться, зато было желание немного мне попозировать - и он показал, как точит когти о кору дерева.

Here is an uncut version of this card. The feet on the right side of the photo are my daughter's. In fact, I left the house to follow my family off (they had an evening visit to the theater). We walked together to the subway entrance and then I returned home. It would have been a very short walk if not for all the distractions... and I had to take a picture of them all! :)

Мы прогулялись до входа в метро, а потом я вернулся домой. Это была бы очень короткая прогулка, если бы не отвлекающие факторы... которые мне пришлось фотографировать! :)
There's always a special life near the entrance to a subway station - it's sort of 'oasis of life', a hub for the people flowing through the city. This is where people wait for partners, meet, and take advantage of other people to sell or offer them something. Street musicians often perform here, and sometimes I see even fire jugglers. (I've shown you these pictures before).
Возле входа на станцию метро всегда особая жизнь - это такие оазисы жизни, узловые точки людских потоков сквозь город. Здесь люди ожидают партнеров, встречаются, этим пользуются другие люди, чтобы им что-нибудь продать или предложить. Очень часто здесь выступают уличные музыканты, а иногда я вижу и огненных жонглёров. (Я уже показывал вам эти фотографии).
This street vendor sells beautiful fall flowers - fisalis. The close-up is cropped from the previous photo.
Эта уличная торговка продает красивые осенние цветы - физалисы (ближний план из предыдущего фото).
Physalis don't grow in our park, so people can't pick them there - and attracted by the beauty, they buy them. Judging by this huge bouquet of maple leaves, people have just come from the park... And full of autumnal cheer! And there was no way they could get past this gorgeous autumn bouquet of pistachios...
Физалисы не растут в нашем парке, поэтому люди не могут их там нарвать - и привлеченные красотой, покупают. Судя по этому огромному букету кленовых листьев, люди только что пришли из парка... и полны осеннего настроения! И им было никак не возможно пройти мимо этого роскошного осеннего букета физалисов...
And now, a surprise! Look what came into my frame! It came on its own, I didn't look for it: a few people were pulling a cart near the subway entrance. I didn't understand what was going on at first, but the cart was an unusual thing, and it caught my attention. I walked closer to see and understand what was going on.
А теперь - сюрприз! Смотрите, что попало ко мне в кадр! Само приплыло, я не искал: возле входа в метро несколько человек возили тележку. Я сначала не понял что именно происходит, но тележка - штука необычная, это привлекло мое внимание. Я подошел поближе чтобы разглядеть и понять что происходит.
And it turned out that a music video was being filmed here! I didn't distract people from their work by asking what kind of music video they were shooting... most likely a music video! One of the assistants was holding a sign that said "Please do not look at the camera. Yes, the "eye contact" is not needed everywhere :))) photography is definitely an embellishment, but the genre of video.... I think that it is very situational.
И оказалось, что тут происходят съемки клипа! Я не стал отвлекать людей занятых своим делом, и расспрашивать какой именно клип они снимают... скорее всего, музыкальный! Один из ассистентов держал в руках табличку, с надписью "Пожалуйста, большая просьба: не смотрите в камеру". Да, "глазной контакт" нужен не везде :))) фотографию он определенно украшает, а вот жанр видео.... думаю что это ситуативно.

The street musicians were here, too: a guitarist, a singer, and a drummer... and they were shooting a video, too! (There was an iPhone mounted on a tripod filming the singer close-up - you can see it on the left side of the photo). By the way, there were several drummers - maybe they were assistants, or friends of the band, young guys that the band trusted and gave this high - to participate in their song. Of course the band noticed that I was photographing them, but it only caused a smile back, and no objections - and they chose not to look at me in the frame :)
Уличные музыканты тоже были здесь: гитарист, певец и барабанщик... и они тоже снимали видео! (На штативе стоял айфон, который снимает певицу - его можно увидеть в левой части фото). Кстати, барабанщиков было несколько - может быть, это были ассистенты, или друзья группы, молодые парни которым группа доверяла и дарила этот кайф - поучаствовать в своей песне. Они конечно же заметили, что я их фотографирую, но это вызвало только улыбку, а не возражения - и они не стали смотреть мне в кадр :)
I did more than a dozen takes, and I'll show them in a separate post. It all took much less time than I'm telling you about it. And then I went home, and choose the route through the park, and took many more pictures; some of them I showed in my Sublime Sunday blog.
Я сделал больше дюжины дублей, и покажу их в отдельном посте. Все это заняло гораздо меньше времени, чем я рассказываю об этом. А потом я пошел домой, через парк, и сделал еще много фотографий, часть из которых я показал в Понедельник.
Victory Park has four irregularly elongated ponds. This photo shows the shore of the central one, the largest one. The next photo below is taken there 10 minutes later. It's amazing how different the color is when you change the angle a little bit!
Парк Победы имеет четыре пруда, неправильной вытянутой формы. На этом фото - берег центрального, самого большого из них. Следующее фото ниже - сфотографировано там же, спустя 10 минут. Удивительно, как отличается цвет, стоит немного изменить ракурс съемки!
On the cape I witnessed a real professional costume photo session... with fantasy props. It's not something you see every day! What's more, I've never seen such a beautiful and strong sorceress before in my life!
На мысу я стал свидетелем настоящей профессиональной костюмированной фото-сессии... с фэнтези-реквизитом. Такое видишь не каждый день! Да чего там - такую красивую и сильную волшебницу я точно вижу в первый раз!
And guess what? Here I ran out of my "digital film", exactly at the most interesting point! Well, I mean, the CF was 100% filled. I frantically rewound a few frames, erased them to clear some space... but still, it wasn't a solution, it was a missed opportunity. I took just four captures -- and went home. The photographic part of the walk ended there. What is the _moralite_?.. you should explore outdoors locations more often! and according to the distribution curve, the probability that you'll come across something interesting will definitely increase.
И знаете что? На самом интересном месте у меня кончился ролик цифровой плёнки! Ну, то есть забилась флешка. Я лихорадочно отмотал несколько кадров назад, удалил, расчистил немного пространства... но все равно, это было не решение, благоприятный момент упущен... Я сделал всего 4 кадра -- и ушел домой. Фотографическая часть прогулки на этом завершилась! Мораль... надо чаще гулять по городу! и согласно кривой распределения, вероятность того что вы наткнетесь на что-нибудь интересное, обязательно повысится.
