Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
Last weekend, we visited a very special place here in Krakow, Poland that can surely be considered a hidden gem of the city as it´s a pretty remote location that very few tourists and visitors of the city usually get to know about. The place that I am talking about is called the Divine Mercy Sanctuary and, together with the adjacent Sanctuary of St. John Paul II, it forms an extremely large and impressive complex of Roman Catholic architecture, churches, chapels, monasteries, cemeteries, museums and also two observation towers.
The place is really huge and you can easily spend the whole day there, just checking all the interesting buildings and everything and this is pretty much what we did too actually. I took a lot of photos there and I am going to make an extensive post about this trip but before I get to it, I would like to show you some of the pictures that I took from one of the observation towers. The tower that we visited is located right next to the monumental basilica of the Divine Mercy Sanctuary and it´s glass-walled all around so you can enjoy an amazing 360° view of the city from the top. I´m not sure if you can see it in the following photos too but the visibility was so great that day that we could even see the snow covered peaks of the Tatra Mountains far away in the background...
I hope you enjoyed these panoramic shots of Krakow taken from the observation tower of the Divine Mercy Sanctuary. I am sorry about the glass reflection in some of the photos, I really wanted to avoid it as I tried to shoot from different spots and angles but it was still there. I will start working on the big post about the magnificent complex that the tower is a part of soon so stay tuned ;)
