Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
I was really pleased by your amazing response to my collection of animal photos that I posted here on my blog last week so I decided to make a similar photo series dedicated to close ups of interesting flowers and plants. I must admit that seeing the great flower post by our amazing @ybanezkim26, the leader and mentor of the flourishing Filipino community here on Hive, also inspired me to come up with this special photo series.
Nevertheless, soon after I started digging through my photo archives, I realized I actually have so many photos of flowers and plants (probably more than a hundred) that putting them all in just one post would make the collection way too long and wearing. Therefore, instead, I decided to make a few separate posts with photos of flowers and plants from different regions.
Let me now kick off the photo series with shots that I took on the Azores Islands, an enchanting remote Portuguese archipelago hidden in the deep blue waters of North Atlantic where I had the privilege to spend a couple of months earlier this year. All of the following pictures were taken by me on the Sao Miguel Island, the largest island of the archipelago.
I hope you enjoyed this collection dedicated to close up photos of flowers and plants of the Azores Islands or more precisely of the Sao Miguel Island. Just like with the animal photo collection linked above, I also wanted to provide the shots with captions containing the names of the plants for you but unfortunately, my botanical knowledge is considerably poorer and since I wouldn´t be able to identify most of the plants featured here, I decided to go for this caption-free concept of the post. Hopefully, you still liked it :)
