The park "Michalov" in Přerov (CZ) recently celebrated 120 years since its foundation. Its history has been quite varied. There were flower beds, an "alpine" with rockery plants, greenhouses with palm trees.
The general decline of society from the Second World War to the late 1980s was reflected in the state of the park. Maintenance was neglected, and in the 1970s several architectural structures and the famous "alpinum" even disappeared, the sand paths were replaced by asphalt and concrete.
Fortunately, in the 1990s, the park was extensively renovated and is slowly returning to its former glory days.
