Helfštýn Castle is located in the middle of Moravia [CZ], between Přerov and Hranice. The entrance to the castle is guarded by a "wide wall" - a stone wall thirteen metres high and up to eight metres thick, with artillery casemate loopholes.
Hrad Helfštýn se nachází uprostřed Moravy, mezi Přerovem a Hranicemi. Vstup do hradu střeží "široká zeď" - kamenná hradba třináct metrů vysoká a až osm metrů tlustá, s dělostřeleckými kasematovými střílnami.

The oldest part of the castle is the castle palace in the 4th courtyard. Of course, it was originally only low buildings, the palace acquired its present form in the 16th century.
Nejstarší částí hradu je hradní palác na 4. nádvoří. Samozřejmě to byly původně jen nízké budovy, současnou podobu získal palác v 16. století.
The modern history of the castle is connected with the blacksmith's craft. Among other things, the international meeting of blacksmiths Hefaiston takes place here every year - this year for the 40th time.
Novodobá historie hradu je spojená s kovářským řemeslem. Mimo jiné, se tu každoročně odehrává mezinárodní setkání kovářů Hefaiston - v letošním roce už po čtyřicáté.
