Look what we saw at our local shopping center.

Not every day that one gets to see something like this, and it's got a formidable reputation.

Now check the large, flared black nostrils of this dream machine behind the front wheels.

Many years ago, as a child, I sold ice creams at the Kyalami International racetrack, but that was a long time ago.
Since then, I have drifted away from racetracks and such, as life goes on and one has to grow up :) Of course the racing cars in the early 60's looked nothing like these modern beasts of today. Happily, I clicked away at this one, and when we arrived back home, I decided to Google the Oracle racing effort.
Let me show you more of the car.

It certainly quickens the pulses when one can get so close to this one, as everything about it looks beautiful and menacing.

No clutch or petrol pedals and just that strange electronic box behind the steering in the cockpit.

Here's the closest that I could get of the box, and I have no idea what it is. Maybe an Oracle technology system.

And here's a look at the back.

Nope, that barrel is not a canon that the driver can use to eliminate the competition behind him :)
015.JPG

In fact, that barrel is its exhaust pipe.

A closer look at the nostrils at the sides of the car and it must have a tremendous air intake.

The modern speed horse was shoed with Pirelli tires. I am sure that one of those tires comes at the same cost as our little car.

Beautiful isn't it? Here's what I found about Oracle racing.

Oracle Red Bull Racing is here–driven by data, built to win

The Formula One™ team won the 2023 Drivers’ Championship and Constructors' Championship in a record-breaking season. The team relies on Oracle Cloud to power race strategy, engine development, sim racing, fan engagement, and more.

Speed, scale, and reliability for the win

OCI’s performance allows the Oracle Red Bull Racing team to run real-time analytics throughout every race to help guide strategy decisions. OCI helped the team increase by 25% the number of Monte Carlo simulations it could run. By leveraging a modern technology stack, utilizing the power and flexibility of Kubernetes, they can scale up their simulation platform while keeping costs within the tight spending regulations defined by the sport.

I don't want you to contact Oracle Red Bull racing and ask them to turn your old Jeep, or VW, into a racing car. As I don't think that's what they are all about. Apparently, they're a computer technology company and you can see the result of their work in the post here lol.
Just goes to show what computer technology can do for racing and also in so many other business fields, by the Oracle specialists.

Have a look at Oracle, if you are in need of something special in the technology world.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
