Farming in the Face of Adversity: Battling Nature's Challenges

Hello hive family. I hope you all are healthy.

The mountains are only good for tourists to roam around. These days, as much as tourists are happy with the snowfall in the mountains, farmers are equally sad. Farmers are completely dependent on farming. The crops have suffered a lot due to snowfall in the month of May. Due to low temperature the pollination process in the garden has also been affected. If the pollination process is not correct then the apple does not have good setting. Due to this, there is a possibility of less yield of apples in the coming season.

As always, I am busy with my garden work. The work of removing weeds from apple trees is still going on. Removing weeds helps in better growth of trees and the trees are less harmed by insects growing in the grass. Some friendly insects are doing their work well. Lady bug naturally controls insects like aphids. Spiders also control insects like mites.

This year the yield of apple and cherry is less. Due to cold, most of the flowers from apple and cherry have fallen but the yield of apricot and plum is good. If the weather cooperates, we can get good prices for apricot and plum. Fruit setting has been completed in Apricot and Plum. Now it is threatened only by hailstorm. The Meteorological Department has warned of rain and hailstorm again in the next few days. I have taken some pictures in my garden which I am sharing with you all.
