EVERYDAY URBAN FASHION / PHOTO STOCK

I wanted to shoot natural urban portraits with a girl who really dresses like that in her everyday life.

Here the main task of the model was to look natural. And mine to get her by entertaining her and making her be herself. Yes, people have a hard time relaxing in front of the lens and in most cases look like hollowed out beams.

Please, if you are shooting portraits in the style - smile, isslowly stop! It's so artificial and uninteresting. Also, don't smooth your model's face too much. Who are you lying to?

It's very hard to get even a slightly natural shot if your model is just posing, doing nothing. And it's even harder when the footage is for a commercial.

One of my photography teachers said that if we want a decent fashion portrait, we should immediately ask ourselves - What do we want to advertise? Clothes, makeup, hair, shoes... This is when we are building a portfolio or just want to shoot some cool girl without a specific goal.

Don't limit yourself to portraits in general. If your model has nice legs or any body part that would be good for advertising something, then ask her to take a picture. You'll see she'll be a bit reserved at first, but when she sees the cool photo she'll smile.

THANKS FOR SHARING THIS STORY!

I took the shots with a Canon EOS RP / 85 mm lens.

FREEDOM IS AN ACTION AND A WAY OF THINKING...
