Hello friends of the cultivated light painting. Last night I was in Wustrow on the Fischland-DarĂ peninsula to take some photos of the church there. The neo-Gothic church was built in 1874. The building was constructed of bricks and has a cruciform ground plan. The church stands exposed on an elevation. Nevertheless, there is no clear view from any direction. Many tall trees grow around the church. After finding the best position, I set up the tripod and attached the Nikon D750 with the 17-35 zoom lens.
Hallo Freunde der gepflegten Lichtmalerei. In der letzten Nacht war ich in Wustrow auf der Halbinsel Fischland-Darà unterwegs um einige Fotos von der dortigen Kirche zu machen. Die neugotische Kirche wurde im Jahr 1874 gebaut. Das GebÀude wurde aus Backsteinen errichtet und hat einen kreuzförmigen Grundriss. Die Kirche steht exponiert auf einer Erhebung. Trotzdem hat man aus keiner Richtung einen freien Blick. Um die Kirche herum wachsen viele hohe BÀume. Nachdem ich den besten Standpunkt gefunden hatte stellte ich das Stativ auf und befestigte die Nikon D750 mit dem 17-35 Zoomobjektiv.

After the first shots, I corrected the position of the camera several times. I would have liked to go back a few more metres. But unfortunately that was not possible. There is a house there. The next difficulty was to adjust the white balance. The scene is illuminated by a variety of light sources, sodium vapour lamps, mercury vapour lamps, halogen spotlights and LED street lamps. And when a car drove through the scene, there was another light source. It was therefore impossible to adjust the white balance so that the scene was depicted with the natural colours. That's a bit annoying, but it can't be changed.
Nach den ersten Aufnahmen korrigierte ich noch mehrfach den Standort der Kamera. Ich wĂ€re gerne noch einige Meter zurĂŒck gegangen. Das war aber leider nicht möglich. Dort steht ein Haus. Die nĂ€chste Schwierigkeit bestand darin, den WeiĂabgleich einzustellen. Die Szene wird von den unterschiedlichsten Lichtquellen beleuchtet, Natriumdampflampen, Quecksilberdampflampen, Halogenscheinwerfern und LED StraĂenlaternen. Und wenn ein Auto durch die Szene fuhr, gab es eine weitere Lichtquelle. Es war somit unmöglich den WeiĂabgleich so einzustellen, dass die Szene mit den natĂŒrlichen Farben dargestellt wird. Das ist zwar etwas Ă€rgerlich, lĂ€sst sich aber nunmal nicht Ă€ndern.

I took some shots with 180° rotation of the camera around the optical axis with changed position. In addition, some cars painted traces of light into the picture.
Ich machte einige Aufnahmen mit 180° Drehung der Kamera um die optische Achse mit verÀnderter Position. ZusÀtzlich malten einige Autos Lichtspuren ins Bild.

Hier habe ich die Kamera in 90° Schritten um die optische Achse gedreht.

In this picture I turned the zoom ring of the lens during the exposure.
Bei diesem Bild habe ich wÀhrend der Belichtung den Zoomring des Objektivs gedreht.

Here I turned the zoom ring again and also rotated the camera 180°. This and all the other pictures in this article were taken in a single exposure.
Hier habe ich wieder am Zoomring gedreht und zusÀtzlich die Kamera um 180° gedreht. Dieses, und auch alle andere Bilder in diesem Beitrag sind in jeweils einer einzelnen Belichtung entstanden.
In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the clocks tick differently than in the rest of the world. There, no one thinks about whether the ugly sodium and mercury vapour lamps should perhaps be replaced. The illumination of the church is also boring; they simply shine as much light as possible on the church frontally with different spotlights. I was still hoping that the spotlights would not be switched on at all in order to bring the evil Putin to his knees. But there is also a Karl Marx Street and an Ernst ThÀlmann Street here. Or as the Privy Councillor said a long time ago: "When the world ends, I'll move to Mecklenburg. There it will end 100 years later."
In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ticken die Uhren anders als im Rest der Welt. Da denkt niemand darĂŒber nach, ob man die hĂ€sslichen Natrium- und Quecksilberdampflampen nicht vielleicht mal austauschen sollte. Auch die Beleuchtung der Kirche ist langweilig, da wird einfach mit verschiedenen Scheinwerfern so viel Licht wie möglich frontal auf die Kirche geschissen. Ich hatte ja noch die Hoffnung, dass die Scheinwerfer gar nicht eingeschaltet werden um den bösen Putin in die Knie zu zwingen. Aber hier gibt es auch noch eine Karl-Marx- und eine Ernst-ThĂ€lmann-StraĂe. Oder wie der Geheimrat schon vor langer Zeit sagte: "Wenn die Welt untergeht, ziehe ich nach Mecklenburg. Dort geht sie 100 Jahre spĂ€ter unter."
