Lighting a traditional lamp is a morning and evening ritual of Hindu people. Actually in India and Nepal, this is common to see everywhere around temples and people's house. Along the side of the lamp is an incense sticks which is another important things needed for praying. The aroma produced by burning these sticks is so pleasant. That's why those who are meditating use these sticks by side to attain spirituality. But according to the mythology, the smoke produced by these sticks carry our wishes and prayer to the gods while rising high. If you happen to cross any shops around India and Nepal you can see these things in their shop. These things are also believed to help their business grow. There is a tealight candle fitted inside that copper lamp. You just light it and it will keep on glowing. In fact every utensils used in Hinduism rituals are made of copper as in Ayurveda.
