Harsh climate with beautiful landscapes, Quebrada de Humahuaca, Argentina (5 pics)

La Quebrada de Humahuaca is a superb desert area to explore as the harsh climate of the region shapes the mountains wonderfully.

The changing colors with the sun and the clouds add a certain charm to our walk.

We found ourselves alone through this arid immensity, and we totally loved it!

We had fun exploring several routes, which may not have been routes, and we could admire beautiful scenery along the way.

Cacti are always present in this kind of difficult place.

They are so fragile and so strong at the same time to be able to survive in this kind of place.

The narrow mountain valley had many surprises in store for us throughout our journey.

A small chapel lost in this immensity which reminds us to keep the faith in all circumstances is one of them.

Back to civilization, the mountains welcome us with open arms.

A great way to recharge your batteries before exploring another corner of the planet.
