Air Parade
In many cities of the world it is common to enjoy spectacular air parades on certain important dates of the year and Caracas does not escape from this reality, here in the Venezuelan capital the Independence Day celebrated on July 5th is the occasion par excellence to enjoy the military might of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, who appears in the Monumental Paseo de los Proceres giving a show of muscle and excellent organization, This event always has the presence of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, who shakes the skies of the capital with its powerful planes and combat helicopters, but the truth is that the Paseo de los Proceres is a place that is somewhat far from the center of the city and therefore to enjoy these events you have to be in the stands of the promenade or in its vicinity.

Desfile Aéreo
En muchas ciudades del mundo es común disfrutar de espectaculares desfiles aéreos en ciertas fechas importantes del año y Caracas no escapa de esta realidad, aquí en la capital venezolana el día de la independencia celebrado el 5 de julio es la ocasión por excelencia para disfrutar del poderío militar de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana, quien se presenta en el Monumental paseo de los próceres dando una muestra de músculo y excelente organización, este evento siempre suele contar con la presencia de la Aviación Militar Bolivariana, quién estremece los cielos de la capital con sus potentes aviones y helicópteros de combate, pero la verdad es que el Paseo de los Próceres es un lugar que se encuentra algo alejado del centro de la ciudad y por lo tanto para poder disfrutar de estos eventos hay que estar en las tribunas del paseo o en sus adyacencias.
Caracas, being nestled in a valley right in the middle of the Cordillera de la Costa, is a city whose geography is very rugged, with peaks that exceed 2,000 meters above sea level. Its skies are very changeable since it can dawn with a very clear panorama and very quickly before noon can form large cumulus clouds, also for being the capital of the country is the city that has the largest number of buildings which mostly tend to reach considerable heights, In addition, the no-fly zones cover a good part of the extension of this great city, since for logical reasons it is not possible to fly over military or government buildings, that is, it is not necessary to be a pilot or aviation expert to realize that it is not an ideal environment to perform aerial parades in random points of this great capital.
Caracas al estar enclavada en un valle justo en medio de la Cordillera de la Costa se convierte en una ciudad cuya geografía es muy accidentada, la cual cuenta con picos que superan los 2.000 metros de altura, sus cielos son muy cambiantes ya que pueda amanecer con un panorama muy despejado Y de forma muy rápida antes del mediodía pueden formarse grandes cúmulos de nubes, además por ser la capital del país es la ciudad que cuenta con la mayor cantidad de edificios los cuales en su mayoría suelen alcanzar alturas considerables, además las áreas de exclusión aérea abarcan buena parte de la extensión de esta gran urbe, ya que por razones lógicas no se puede sobrevolar sobre edificios militares o gubernamentales, es decir no es necesario ser piloto o experto en aviación para darse cuenta que no es un ambiente ideal para realizar desfiles aéreos en puntos al azar de esta gran capital.
It is for this reason that the Paseo Monumental de los Proceres is ideal for the realization of this type of event, but as expected in life it is always necessary to implement some change, since routines usually generate monotony and in the XXI century that monotony can become disinterest, although it is important to note that the Venezuelan popular culture has always had great admiration for the military sphere, since from our beginnings we were a country forged in the heat of war, therefore this type of event usually generates great expectation and great attention.
Es por esta razón que el Paseo Monumental de los próceres es el ideal para la realización de este tipo de eventos, pero como era de esperarse en la vida siempre es necesario implementar algún cambio, ya que las rutinas suelen generar monotonía y en pleno Siglo XXI esa monotonía se puede convertir en desinterés, aunque es importante resaltar que la cultura popular venezolana siempre ha tenido gran admiración por la esfera militar, ya que desde nuestros inicios fuimos un país forjado al calor de la guerra, por lo tanto este tipo de eventos suele generar mucha expectativa y gran atención.
But I am sure that the national government and the military high command wanted on this occasion to give us a very different parade, something that would break paradigms, demonstrate the quality of the military and at the same time make a whole city proud, it is for this reason that it was decided to celebrate an air show in the heart of Caracas, it would be a parade that would start in the west of the city, It would have its peak in a low flight over the mountain barracks and would rise again in the sky over the Miraflores Palace, to make a tight turn and thus move away from the large skyscrapers that make up the perimeter in this area of the city.
Pero estoy seguro de que el gobierno nacional y el alto mando militar quisieron en esta oportunidad regalarnos un desfile muy diferente, algo que rompiera paradigmas, demostrar a la calidad de los efectivos militares y al mismo tiempo enorgulleciera a toda una ciudad, es por esta razón que se decidió celebrar un espectáculo aéreo en pleno corazón de Caracas se trataría de un desfile que comenzaría en el oeste de la ciudad, tendría su punto cúspide en un vuelo rasante sobre el cuartel de la montaña y se volvería a elevar en el cielo sobre el Palacio de Miraflores, para dar un giro cerrado y de esta forma alejarse de los grandes rascacielos que conforman el perímetro en esta área de la ciudad.
It was a display of military power, where the symbolic was very present, since the mountain barracks is the undisputed bastion of the ruling Bolivarian revolution, while the Miraflores Palace is the historic seat of political power of an entire country, in doing this the inhabitants of the west we were able to observe in the front row from our windows the strength of the Sukhoi 30 mk2 fighter jets, The truth was a very exciting experience that at the same time makes us imagine the terror that the enemy may feel when hearing those engines over their heads in a possible war.
Se trató de una muestra de poder militar, en donde lo simbólicos estaba muy presente, ya que el cuartel de la montaña es el Baluarte indiscutible de la gobernante revolución Bolivariana, mientras que el Palacio de Miraflores, es la sede histórica del poder político de todo un país, al hacer esto los habitantes del oeste logramos observar en primera fila desde nuestras ventanas la fuerza de los aviones de combate Sukhoi 30 mk2, Quiénes al pasar estremecieron edificios completos hicieron vibrar las ventanas y dejaron un fuerte olor a gasolina, la verdad fue una experiencia muy emocionante que al mismo tiempo nos hace imaginar el terror que puede sentir el enemigo al escuchar esos motores sobre sus cabezas en una eventual guerra.
From the comfort of the window of my room I could also observe various helicopters, some belonging to the National Police, while others were combat and transport equipment of the Bolivarian Military Aviation and finally there were also some multipurpose belonging to the Bolivarian National Guard, some passed so close that you could even see the passengers and crew of these incredible aircraft, I was very struck by one that was flying through the sky carrying two cameramen who seemed to be practically outside the aircraft trying to capture the best possible images.
Desde la comodidad de la ventana de mi cuarto también pude observar a diversos helicópteros, algunos pertenecientes a la Policía Nacional, mientras que otros eran equipos de combate y transporte de la Aviación Militar Bolivariana y para finalizar también habían algunos de usos múltiples pertenecientes a la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, algunos pasaban tan cerca que incluso se podía apreciar a los pasajeros y tripulantes de estas increíbles aeronaves, me llamó mucho la atención una que estaba surcando el cielo portando dos camarógrafos que parecían estar prácticamente fuera del aparato intentando captar las mejores imágenes posibles.
The truth is that enjoying this parade was a truly epic experience, since it is something uncommon and it is very difficult to repeat, that is why while I admired what was happening I also took the opportunity to take my camera and capture various images, which allowed me to keep a memory for the history of this pleasant event. I hope you enjoyed as much as I did to see these images, the truth is I had a great time and at the same time I managed to capture several shots that for me means a great achievement, because as you can imagine it is a real challenge to fight against the bars of the window, against the wind and 12 stories high, to get pictures that are good and worth saving, I send you the biggest of hugs and best wishes for this week. La verdad es que de disfrutar de este desfile fue una experiencia verdaderamente épica, ya que es algo poco común y es muy difícil que se vuelva a repetir, es por esta razón que mientras admiraba lo que estaba sucediendo también aprovechaba de tomar mi cámara y capturar diversas imágenes, que me permitieran guardar un recuerdo para la historia de este grato acontecimiento. Espero que ustedes hayan disfrutado tanto como yo de ver estas imágenes, la verdad la pasé genial y al mismo tiempo logré capturar diversas tomas que para mí significa en un gran logro, ya que como se imaginarán es un verdadero reto luchar contra las rejas de la ventana, contra el viento y 12 pisos de altura, para de esta forma conseguir fotografías que sean buenas y dignas de guardar, les envío el más grande de los abrazos y los mejores deseos para esta semana. ¡Saludos!
