Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park. It's a very popular tourist destination, for obvious reasons. During the summer months glacier flour (finely ground rock) flows into the lake due to the melting snow and glaciers. This causes the vibrant blue colour. We have been lucky enough to visit Peyto Lake on multiple occasions during our 3.5 years in Canada and it never disappoints.
