How are you?

Today I'll show you my experiment with.... Drumrollll.. Insects!
No no it's not what you think, I'm not doing anything to them 😂. They're just my new models!

A little context

I mostly shoot Landscapes, Nature, Beaches (with or without my drone) but since I'm semi locked up and spending more and more time at home I figured to try other areas of photography.

Why insects?

Well I've let my yard grow, it has a very natural and green vibe at the moment. I think it's important to get fresh air so these days I sit in my yard for an hour or longer, either reading, meditating or just hanging out. I've noticed a lot of birds, reptiles and insects... I mean they basically feel comfy in my yard at this point 😂.
And I like it! With me sitting out there and seeing all this "life", I've made it a point to bring my camera along every time.

I took all of these with my Canon M50 using a Canon 50 mm lens.

Now I know some of you go as far as mentioning the scientific name of all the insects but I generally don't know yet.
The jury is still out on some of them but maybe this could be good point of engagement. As in tell me in the comments if you know 😀😀😀

Now it's time for the actual pictures!

The plant with the pink flowers is all around Curacao, especially on fences and in places where there are not buildings. It's basically seen as 'onkruid' (weeds) but I've heard it also has healing properties if you make tea from it.

*I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure this is a spider 🤣
