Ingatsi Bog Trail

This is the last trail I visited during my trip to Soomaa national park in southern Estonia. This is the Ingatsi trail and goes through the woods and a bog. We were quite short of time so we hurried there before the sun goes down, fortunately, we made it!

First, to reach the

bog, I took about 15 minutes of walking from the parking lot through the woods.

When there is the flooding season, the water level completely submerges this bridge, including the handrail.

This is how the view of the stairs looked like during the floods of 2010. The whole forest was under deep water.

Going up the stairs, we arrived at the bog. Immediately you can see a watchtower. Sure I took some pictures up there.

The sun was going down and the light was really war, the golden hour.

Advancing with the trail, soon we arrived at the bog lakes.

I am pretty sure that this was the bog trail, I liked the most. Although the other ones were great as well. Those were only some of the trails I covered in Soomaa and there are several more to see next time I'm going back there.

I do have one more post of Soomaa and this is about a bunch of frogs( crazy amount ) I saw going back on this trail. Leaving this for another post because Its too many pictures here already.
