Golden Summer

Looks like we're lucky to have a golden summer this year, or Indian summer if you like.

An Indian summer is a period of unseasonably warm, dry weather that sometimes occurs in autumn in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere during September to November. source

In my country we use to call it old ladies summer, but regardless of what you call it, it is still one of the nicest period of the year. I've been chasing it for a couple of weeks as you never know when it's going to end. There were years when we didn't have an Indian or golden summer, so I'd like to enjoy it as much as I can.

Lucky me, regardless of the season, we still have sunny days, but during autumn and winter, these are not as many as in the other two seasons. October usually is still nice, we have the Indian summer, but there were years when we jumped into the the rainy, gray days. This is what I wanted to avoid this year, this is why I'm enjoying every single sunny day.

Today it is a beautiful day and I could not be more grateful. The sun is shining, the temperature is reasonable compared to other times, so here I am with another nature photo shoot.

Colorful leafs are always my No. 1 priority as I can't resist them. This rust brown is my favorite, especially when it is mixed with other colors, like yellow and green.

Besides leaves, sometimes I'm lucky to get something else, but not often. Last week I spotted these berries and could not resist them, without taking a photo. It's a nice blue color splash.

Then I found these rose hips. There are no leaves at this time of the year, but the fruits are still very healthy.

This scene was quite surprising. As if someone has staged it, but it wasn't human, it was all nature. Two different colored leaves fell on a bush, that already had its leaves stained.

My first thought when I see these scenes is drawing, then having it on a fabric. Don't ask me why as I can't explain it, it's just instinctual.

Then when you're not looking, you find some nice decorations like this. I don't know about you but I love these. This is not kitschy, I find it very original actually. Look at those cute dwarfs on the stairs.

This is another one, not as decorated as the other, but still very nice. Those tiny windows are very cute. I see succulents planted among the stones, a perfect place for them to grow.

This is an interesting one, I've never seen such plant before, don't even know what it is but looks great. Sometimes it's nice to capture things you don't know but find it interesting. Once the leaves are gone, I guess I'll have the opportunity to hunt strange but interesting things.

Speaking of strange things, is this strange enough? I guess we can classify it as modern still life.

I keep saying this is the last one as the weather is trying to convince me it is, but I am always finding some new scenes. I hope this is not my last one.
