Sweet Dreams Are Made of This ~ Spring in Japan

The gorgeous hydrangea are in a class of their own.

The cherry blossom may be the symbol of Japan. but I wouldn't be surprised if hydrangea were more common. These things are literally everywhere. Not only do most cities plant them all over, but they it seems like almost all private gardens also have at least a few of them.

Incidentally, does anyone else have trouble saying "hydrangea"? The Japanese is so much easier for this flower: ajisai.
