When the sun sets tonight it will be the start of the longest night of the year. Well, at least for those of us here in the northern hemisphere... It's always a drag watching the days get shorter and the nights get longer but after tonight the pendulum will be headed the other way.
So to get your solstice started off right, here's some sunsets! All of these are from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
Soon as the sun would set behind the mountains the temperature would drop like a rock. With this being the start of winter as well that somehow seems fitting.
Anybody else doing anything to mark the occasion? Who else is fixing to hibernate for the next three months? Can any of you southern hemisphere folks do me a favor and send some of your weather my way? I'd be much obliged to say the least.
