My photos of yellow flowers

Hi,

After not having been able to participate in the last #POBphotocontest organised weekly by @friendlymoose, today I have looked for the post related to this photo contest to see what theme our friend is proposing this week and it is none other than a general theme such as the colour yellow.

#POBphotocontest: Yellow

Therefore, before I forget to participate in this edition, I have made a review of the photographs I have saved in my computer and I have decided to write a compilation post with 5 of the photographs of yellow flowers of my authorship that I like the most and explain the place where it was taken and some additional information of each photograph.

A walk in the meadows near my home

At weekends I usually go to the village where I grew up on the west coast of Asturias. As a nature lover I like to walk through this natural environment of meadows and cornfields where, apart from the garden flowers, dandelions are one of the most extensive wildflowers.

When young, this wildflower stands out with its yellow colour and long petals.

However, when this flower reaches an adult stage it transforms radically, turning its petals into fluff that flies easily in the wind.

A walk in the mountains

Another of the moments I like to enjoy at the weekends is a walk along the mountain paths that I have near my mother's house.

These paths are usually surrounded by undergrowth, but even with undergrowth, when spring comes this undergrowth gives us some beautiful yellow flowers such as the gorse.

But you have to be very careful not to get too close to take photos, as their barbs can dig into you.

Some flowers from Cordoba

Due to my commercial activity, I usually travel 2-3 weeks a month outside my region. This allows me to visit other areas of Spain as was recently my visit to Cordoba.

Apart from the architectural beauty of this Andalusian city, in the spring months there is a flower competition in the courtyards of the city.

In one of the winners of previous editions, I had the opportunity to enter and contemplate the beauty of the courtyard and in particular some small yellow flowers that captured my attention.

Yellow Roses in a park in Madrid

A few weeks ago I visited a spectacular park in the town of Torrejón de Ardoz in Madrid called Parque Europa.

There are replicas of the most characteristic sculptures and monuments of the countries of Europe, such as these Dutch windmills.

During the walk, as in every park, there was a multitude of flowers.

However, these yellow flowers on the park's flower walk are my favourite to submit to the #POBphotocontest.

I hope you like this compendium.
