Let the beauty of Pancha island make you fall in love with it

My entry to Qurator's Photo Quest | Bridges

A magical and special place in the north of Spain that I consider a jewel is the Pancha island with its lighthouses.

This beautiful place is located in the north of Spain, specifically in the town of Privado (Lugo-Spain).

In spring it is a spectacle to visit this place where the blue sea is combined with the sight of the island and its magenta flowers.

The island has a lighthouse built almost two centuries ago which is now a tourist accommodation, with formidable views of the coastline.

In addition, there is a more classical lighthouse, which is in use for maritime signalling.

There is also a terrace where you can eat and drink with the sound of the sea and seagulls in the background.

To access the island, it is essential to cross its narrow bridge, taking care that there are not too many waves.

Because as you can see in this photo from last winter, the swell can be especially strong in this area.

I hope you enjoyed this visit to Pancha Island in Ribadeo.
