Hello Hivernauts

Honesty in desolation. That emotion lived so intensely and yet hidden in the shadows by too many. Have you felt dark and desolate, hoarding emptiness and sorrow as if they were treasures that define you? Have you struggled to find a way to externalize those feelings, find a light and begin the path to healing? If these words resonate with you, read on, I have a story to tell you.

This is the third story dedicated to Gabriella, but it could also be yours, a friend's or anyone else's who has experienced desolation. Gabriella found in art and photography a powerful tool to externalize and overcome her shadows.

Imagine for a moment, Gabriella, transforming her desolation into a series of photographs and portraits, charged with symbolism and beauty, despite the sadness they sought to convey. In each portrait, Gabriella faces her camera and gives us a defiant flash of authenticity. With each selfie, she releases a bit of the grief that haunts her, each shot capturing her deepest feelings, the ones she had held back for so long.

Through a camera, Gabriella manages to genuinely reflect her own desolation. It is moving art, layer upon layer of honest vulnerability that does not seek to be pretty, but ends up captivating us.

Gabriella has found in photography the language to express the ineffable, the honesty in the desolation that so many of us experience in silence.

Performing in scenarios tinged with melancholy, her poses and gestures naked of pretense reflect her inner tensions and the heartbreaking struggle to free herself from them. A desolate beauty that draws us in, that asks us to look and not ignore the pain.

Finally, Gabriella reminds us that while desolation can be a lonely experience, we are not alone in it. She invites us to embrace and express our shadows in a way that is real and authentically ours. Gabriella's art urges us to reveal, not disguise, the complexity of our emotions in all their bleak splendor.

Today I want to share this third series of portraits I took with Gabriella in a lovely city hotel surrounded by nature and with that atmosphere of an abandoned place that adds more drama to Gabriella's art.

These photos have no editing or retouching, I share them with you in their original version so you can appreciate the rawness of Gabriella feelings expressed through the artistic nude.
