When are fish the tastiest?

When the fish jump from sea to the plate!
I love the sea but am not lucky enough to live near it. Or maybe this is lucky. Distance keeps the passion alive!

A few hundred kilometres to the sea, in Romania, where I live or in the neighbouring country Bulgaria. Two countries, same sea, the Black Sea.
I have to admit that it's nicer in Bulgaria and I'm glad that patriotism doesn't stop me from being objective.

I manage to go a few times a summer to the sea, most of the time to the small town in Bulgaria called Balchik.

I love the sea for everything it offers and among these gifts, an important place is occupied by food. I love to eat fish. The tastiest fish is the one that gets from the seawater to your plate the fastest.

In Balchik, we ate at a small restaurant, the Blue Lion. The food is not very good-looking, there is not much concern for the image, the design and the colour of the plate. They don't need that because the food is very tasty and that's why it is appreciated.

This is why the photos for this competition are not spectacular. I hope they at least suggest freshness and great taste!

My participation in this contest, as an amateur, of course!
