Ayer para hacer algo especial por Semana Santa mi madre y yo decidimos hacer nuestra comida favorita para almorzar: EL PASTICHO. >Yesterday to do something special for Easter, my mother and I decided to make our favorite food for lunch: EL PASTICHO. El pasticho es la versión venezolana de la lasagna. Es una lasagna de carne, salsa bechamel, le colocamos queso y lo que la diferencia de la lasagna es que le agregamos jamón también. >The pasticho is the Venezuelan version of lasagna. It is a meat lasagna, bechamel sauce, we put cheese on it and what makes it different from lasagna is that we add ham as well.

Aprovechando la salsa de tomate tan sabrosa que hice y que les compartí en el [post anterior](https://hive.blog/hive-120586/@canelarecetas/esp-eng-salsa-de-tomate-casera-homemade-tomato-sauce) la mezclé con la carne molida para hacer una salsa bolognesa. >Taking advantage of the so tasty tomato sauce that I made and that I shared in the [previous post](https://hive.blog/hive-120586/@canelarecetas/esp-eng-salsa-de-tomate-casera-homemade-tomato-sauce) I mixed it with the ground beef to make a bolognese sauce.

This bechamel is creamy, silky and with a lot of flavor.

La pasta de lasagna o pasticho viene ya lista para meter al horno. Sin embargo, a mí me gusta en pasarla por agua caliente. A mí parecer queda mucho mejor así, pero hay quienes la meten directamente al horno y también es válido. >The lasagna or pasticho pasta is already ready to be put in the oven. However, I like to run it through hot water. It seems to me that it is much better that way, but there are those who put it directly in the oven and it is also valid. Yo la paso por agua caliente y luego las dejo escurrir en un plato grande. >I put it in hot water and then I let it drain on a large plate.

Como les comentaba al principio del post, el ingrediente estrella del pasticho es el jamón, en este caso de espalda de cerdo. Y el queso es fundamental, yo escogí mozzarella porque es mi queso favorito. >As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, the star ingredient in pasticho is ham, in this case pork back. And cheese is essential, I chose mozzarella because it is my favorite cheese.

Con todo listo me dispuse a armar el pasticho, no tomé fotos del proceso porque tenía las manos ocupadas, pero básicamente colocaba una capa de pasta, salsa bolognesa, bechamel, queso, jamón y así sucesivamente, hasta armar 4 capas. La última capa con mucha bechamel y queso arriba el cual se derritió y doró como verán a continuación: >With everything ready, I started to assemble the pasticho, I did not take photos of the process because my hands were busy, but basically I put a layer of pasta, bolognese sauce, bechamel, cheese, ham and so on, until I assembled 4 layers. The last layer with a lot of bechamel and cheese on top which melted and browned as you will see below:

Tomé un pan salado sencillo que teníamos y lo corté en rodajas, le unté un poquito de mantequilla que mezclé con ajo y los metí al horno y miren lo lindos que quedaron: >I took a simple salty bread that we had and cut it into slices, spread a little butter that I mixed with garlic and put them in the oven and look how cute they were:

Y así nos sentamos mi mamá y yo a disfrutar de la que es la comida favorita de las dos, quedó muy sabroso y lo mejor fue que nos sobró mucho pasticho y pudimos cenar con eso también. >And so my mother and I sat down to enjoy what is the favorite food of both of us, it was very tasty and the best thing was that we had a lot of pasticho left over and we could have dinner with that too.
