Benin - Chili pepper on the road

Here we are near Dassa, in the south of Benin (west Africa).
We did a break to take some decision about where to stop for the night: here or driving directly to Cotonou.

I liked the red colors of chili pepper beside the road. As you can see there were many sellers, mostly children.

In the following image I like how the basin drawing and color fit with the clothes of this girl. She walked near me, I had tele on my camera (not wide angle), so I tried to take a good shot, improvising it. I had not so much time to decide the scene, shoot and to find right focus, but I was lucky to catch a good frame, in my opinion!

Here the girl before, coming towards me:

In general they weren't so much happy to be photographed. I prefer to keep in touch with people before doing a pic, but this time we had not so much time to approach people.
Someone was a little upset (and someone showed the tongue), but many children were smiling and joking with us!

They were very focused on the job:

The production of chili pepper is very important for the economy of these villages.

For children maybe we were 'strange people'.
I love their eyes and how they looked at me:

We are near at the village with its community:

Time to take again the car and keep driving!

Pictures taken with Sony Alpha 7iii and Nikon D800.
