I have good memories of that period and I want to recall one short episode when a 15-year-old student tried to comprehend some of the secrets of this paint, using the example of strawberries. This girl was very diligent and in a year and a half of our classes with her, she made quite a lot of progress in her skills. https://i.postimg.cc/7xsZWNXt/DSC-1573-2.jpg In this early drawing of hers, there is one detail that is characteristic of novice watercolorists. When I was showing a way of overflowing paint in a wet area, where it is possible to make beautiful soft transitions, my student at that time failed to repeat the technique and she used gouache whitewash to somehow simplify the task for herself. As a result, it turned out to be generally similar, but if we talk about accuracy, then it is broken here. The fact is that in watercolors, it is accuracy that is the main feature of working with this paint and any blots immediately catch the eye. After some time, my glorious student was still able to make progress, and her later studio work is quite good. У меня остались хорошие воспоминания о том периоде и я хочу вспомнить об одном коротком эпизоде, когда одна 15-летняя ученица пробовала постичь некоторые секреты этой краски, на примере клубники. Эта девушка была очень усердна и за полтора года наших с ей занятий достаточно сильно продвинулась в своих навыках. На этом её раннем рисунке (второй сверху) есть одна деталь, которая характерна для начинающих акварелистов. Когда я показывал способ перетекания краски в мокрой области, где возможно сделать красивые мягкие переходы, моей ученице в тот раз не удалось повторить приём и она воспользовалась гуашевыми белилами, чтобы как-то упросить себе задачу. В итоге вышло в целом похоже, но если говорить об аккуратности, то тут она нарушена. Дело в том, что в акварели именно аккуратность является основной особенностью работы этой краской и любые помарки сразу бросаются в глаза. Спустя какое-то время моя славная ученица всё же смогла достичь прогресса, и её более поздние студийные работы вполне хороши.
