Hello photography Lovers
Today I again found a slow-motion animal. This animal is very familiar to tropical forest areas. We mention "Bekicot" or its biological name is "Achatina fulica". This animal has a very slow movement when walking. However, the snail has a high protein content in its meat. Some studies prove that in 100 grams of snail meat there are 12 grams of protein and only contains 1% fat content. Such proteins are important for building and repairing human muscles. so that people consume the meat.

Wild snail meat is not safe for immediate consumption, because in snails there are parasites that can harm humans. Except for the cultivation. Snail species are very easy to find especially in slightly humid areas. In the morning and evening, snails come out of hidden places to get food.

The results of a study conducted by the Journal of Fisherish Sciences, escargot meat is considered to have a high nutritional value.

The nutritive and market value of meat of edible garden snail from northern Turkey was deter-mined. Protein, fat, ash, water and carbohydrate value of edible garden snail were found 9.87, 0.58, 1.07, 82.50 and 5.99 % wet weight, respectively. The results of this study have showed that garden snails are good sources of amino acid, fatty acid, vitamins and minerals. source:researchgate.net
