In various photo sessions of my food before you saw me using a turquoise background.
This time I want to try experimenting with a brighter photo background, red color. I am curious as to what the result will be.
In addition, I learned the skill to make new sauce forms. I use manual equipment and don't use a plate player which I usually see professional chefs doing on Youtube.
IMPROVING FORMS OF SAUCES
I try to form a circle to apply the chocolate sauce to the plating plate. My hands aren't fast enough yet so the shapes I just come up with are inconsistent.
Previously, I only applied a simple sauce shape but still looked elegant as seen in the following plating:
So this circular chocolate sauce works quite well because there are no messy lines. It's just that, layered circle shapes have an inconsistent shape.
What do you think my chocolate sauce looks like this time?
ADDING THE DESSERTS
The desserts I use this time are Tapioca Dessert Bars. These desserts are made from tapioca flour with a mixture of brown sugar which is then covered with grated coconut.
The special thing about Tapioca Dessert Bars is that it is chewy in texture.
Then I put the pieces of Tapioca Dessert Bars on top of the chocolate sauce that has been shaped in a circle.
Simple enough! Voila!
ICE CREAM, YES PLEASE!
Adding ice cream to dessert is certainly fun. I have a short supply of strawberry ice cream.
At the end of the food photoshoot, it did appear that the ice cream had melted.
I also add chocolate sprinkles on top of the ice cream. Nice! There are additional details that also add a wider variety of flavors.
OTHER DETAILS
There are pieces of love that I add to the plating plate. I use chewy candies which happen to be the same color as the ice cream.
The small details of the candies add non-monotonous color to the main object.
THE RESULTS
This is the result. I feel there is something wrong with the photo background. To me, maybe it would look better if I used a softer photo background like in my previous work.
Maybe the photo background this time is too bright so that it spoils the tone of the main object. What do you think?
Thank you for reading my food blog and reblog if you want my blog this time worthy of reading by others.
All pictures were taken with iPhone 11.
