I think pretty much everyone should have noticed that history is being written these days. The old will be lost forever. It will be the past. It's up to everyone to decide what to do with it. I am also aware of the fact that in the course of the hard cuts I should dispose of some rusty structures in my life.

ich denke, es dürft so ziemlich jedem aufgefallen sein, daß in diesen Tagen Geschichte geschrieben wird. Das Alte wird für immer verloren sein. Es wird Vergangenheit sein. Es liegt nun an jedem selbst, was er daraus macht. Ich bin mir auch darüber im klaren, daß ich im Zuge der harten Einschnitte einige verrostete Strukturen in meinem Leben entsorgen sollte.
However, it is important for me to keep a cool head. Therefore, it went yesterday once again with the wheel off in the Spessart Forest. Compared to last year, nature is still quite behind.

Allerdings ist für mich wichtig, dabei einen kühlen Kopf zu behalten. Daher ging es gestern mal wieder mit dem Rad ab in den Spessart. Im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr ist die Natur noch ganz schön im Verzug.
Yesterday I read that in our latitudes we had the coldest April since 1929. From the feeling I would say that's about right. Where is the warming when you need it?

Gestern las ich, wir hätten in unseren Breiten den kältesten April seit 1929. Vom Gefühl her würde ich sagen, das kommt hin. Wo ist die Erwärmung, wenn man sie braucht?
In earlier times, everything was different. Some things were even better. There used to be a forest playground in this bend. It's gone. What a pity. The hut was renewed. At least.

Früher war alles anders. Manches sogar besser. In dieser Kurve war früher mal ein Waldspielplatz. Weg ist er. Schade. Die Hütte wurde erneuert. Immerhin.
On my bike tour I also passed the nun's picture, which can be found in the South Spessart, in the forest of Dorfprozelten. Here, however, rarely sees a soul. On the hiking trail "Eselsweg" there is already more going on. In general, I must say that I met many people in the forest yesterday. And that, although the weather was more than modest. I'm probably not the only one who feels that escaping into nature is currently the best way to escape the crazy everyday life.

Auf meiner Radtour passierte ich auch das Nonnenbild, das im Südspessart, im Dorfprozeltener Wald zu finden ist. Hier sieht mal allerdings selten eine Menschenseele. Auf dem Eselsweg ist da schon mehr los. Überhaupt muß ich sagen, daß ich gestern ausgesprochen viele Menschen im Wald getroffen habe. Und das, obwohl das Wetter mehr als bescheiden war. Wahrscheinlich geht es nicht nur mir so, daß die Flucht in die Natur momentan der beste Weg ist, dem verrückten Alltag zu entkommen.

Zum Abschluß noch ein Blick über das leicht frühlingshafte Grünenwört. Allerdings waren mir zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Hände bereits schier eingefroren. Eines Aprils eigentlich unwürdig.
